Sculpture conservator Thomas Podnar in the act of re-constructing through skillful soldering a severely damaged zinc sculpture of Puck.

Sculpture Conservator Tom Podnar is mentioned in Carol Grissom’s talk “Toward Better Treatment of Cast-Iron Fountains with Zinc Statues”.  Tom is skilled at the traditional and difficult technique of lead-tin soldering which is the most durable repair of zinc.
